THE CHALLENGE

Weekly plans were unreliable. Planning meetings focused on explaining missed work rather than improving flow.

WHAT WE DID

  • Implemented the Last Planner System® as a production control system

  • Reframed weekly planning as a commitment conversation

  • Digitally supported clearer task definition and readiness checks

  • Coached leaders and supervisors in Lean planning behaviours

WHAT IMRPOVED (metricslight)

  • Planned Percent Complete (PPC) improved materially over time

  • Fewer tasks released prematurely

  • Better quality task definitions

  • Planning meetings became shorter, more focused and more collaborative

THE OUTCOME

Commitments became more realistic, and delivery reliability improved without accelerating the programme.
